Parliament members visited GenØk – Centre for Biosafety

Four members of the Norwegian Parliament visited Friday the 7th of November GenØk – Centre for Biosafety. The purpose of the visit was to gain some insights into our activities. Our Managing Director Trond Skotvold and our Scientific Director, Professor Terje Traavik presented the Parliament members with the history, plans, goals and activities of GenØk, seen from a scientific and administrative point of view. The Parliament members were also presented with some of the issues related to modern biotechnology and the risk assessment of these.
