Lim Li Lin is a senior legal and environment researcher at Third World Network, an international NGO based in Malaysia, where she coordinates the biosafety programme and the work of the Kuala Lumpur office. She has been an active participant of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity and Biosafety Protocol negotiations, and related experts’ meetings. She is currently a member of the Biosafety Clearing House Informal Advisory Committee, as well as the Liason Group on Biosafety Capacity Building. She has been a resource person on biosafety at numerous international, regional, national, and intergovernmental forums. She has also been a consultant to the Malaysian Ministry of Science, Technology and the
Environment in the development of the national biosafety law and the access and benefit sharing law, and on capacity building for the implementation of multilateral
environmental agreements.
