Project Title:
Functional genomics of vaccine-vector relevant naturally occurring and genetically modified orthopoxviruses during infection of human and mammalian cells
Profile:
Dr. Arinze S. Okoli received his PhD in 2009 from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, where he investigated the molecular basis of Enterohepatic Helicobacter species adaptations to hosts and environment. In his current project at the Norwegian Institute of Gene Ecology, Tromsø, Norway, he aims to identify hosts and viral factors that modulate the life cycles of naturally occurring and transgenic orthopoxviruses.
